Not very good.....went Tuesday and spider rigged minnows and jigs on the rip rap....caught about ten.....most small males....alot of sandbass............the water cooled off to 59 and is REAL muddy. Tried some coves as well, found 67 degree water and never got a bite....tried the banks as well and struck out there. A friend of mine waded the buckbrush this weekend and caught very few as well....His were small males too.

Thanks for the response fellas. I'm new to this texting info back and forth, but it sure can be a great help for a person like me that lives 120 miles away and drives a 3/4 ton chev that gets (on good days) about 14 mpg. you all just saved me around $80.00 to $100.00 in gas by letting me know the crappie haven't regrouped yet
Has anyone fished around crowder since the water has came up? Im wondering if the fish are currently spawning or not? Anyone caught any fish in shallow water yet?
been catching a few close. jig and cork last week in 12" of water..not as you would think but this warm weather will hlep..heading down today alil farther south to check things out..if ur gonna fish Rock Creek and Crowder area fish above the bridge at Rock Creek..seems to be holding more fish but again that was late last week so things have probably changed

Talked some folks that have been catching a bunch under Coale Creek bridge with minnows. My brother and I fished around Crowder/Blocker area yesterday and the bite was slow in the bushes and off of the rip/rap. Ended up with 51 but it took all day and a lot of bushes to get that many. Noticed the water is still falling and you can see it on the bank from when you put in and come back and see how much the water has receded from the bank/boat ramp. I wonder if the water was more stable the fishing would really get hot on the bank? If you listen to Barry's fishing report that is the same thing we found.

looks like they finally busted the flood gates open. whats that going to do to the crappie. will it muddy the water back up or will it help pull the clear water out of the creeks into the main lake.

I always thought that fast falling water = very slow crappie fishing.

We found it tough yesterday evening. We had 20 keepers from 5 until dark but could have weighed only maybe 6-7 pounds. All the females had spawned.
