Which is more productive, flower beds or fence rows? (Sorry- lot easier to find the humor when I live out of harms way.)

flower beds C2, it gets you more brownie points. I keep tellin ya, ya gotta remember this stuff now.
Serious, I've been wondering about your post to Toon, especially this part: "Good luck with your dock, hope it goes down soon." Surely, you weren't saying that you hope Toon's dock winds up going over the dam and "down" the river? Winking smiley face.
Our dock is safe now. Extensions added to all 4 pencils. We have 5' of pencil sticking up above every sleeve. Several of the docks around us are now tied off to ours to keep theirs from floating off if they slip off their pencils.
Sure hope they crack the gates more. . . Just had over two inches of rain in twenty minutes in okc
News is saying six inches of rain possible in okc and areas which the north Canadian flows through.
If you have not added to your pencils and have a chance of your dock floating off. . . Now is the time. . . Another huge wall of water will be heading your way.
Gates were raised to 6' earlier this morning and are now raised to 9.5'. Lake came up 1' since yesterday and more heavy rains are coming. I heard they closed the area at the dam for fishing.
Glad they raised the gates more. . . My thoughts are for those downstream and others in the path of another historic flooding.
Yesterday they opened gates to 12.5". The big muddy is a MONSTER! It's eating up a TON of places it didn't touch in the early '90's. Every time I go somewhere I am completely SHOCKED! It is unreal

Well....at least we can catch sandbass and catfish
This says Eufaula has a " surcharge pool " level of 600 ft .......... what is a surcharge pool ?
I suspect its what us non engineers call a spillway, but does Eufaula dam have a spillway ?
Eufaula Lake
Someone please start a picture post from your lake . Interested to see just how big it is
Went out the last 2 days fishing and had 25 yesterday and 30 today. Took a little while to figure out a pattern fishing flooded water but finally got on something pretty good. Got some open dates next week if anyone is interested? School is out and I'm FISHING. EB
That is very impressive EB. Way to go!
Nice job EB!! Glad somebody is still after the crappie!
Brandon and I will be around arrowhead Sunday to rip some lips. WSD :fish:fish:fish:fish:fish
Good job EB, I should have know you would still be catching them. At least it's not so hot you have to take a dip to cool off.
Had 21 keepers and 3 catfish today on a 1/2 day trip. Double Dippin weedless Timmy Toms in 4-8ft. Pump Chart was the hot color. Got a full day tomorrow. It's great to be back fishing. EB
Glad to see your able to get on fish Brian. I know you had to put in a lot of hard work to find them in this mess. Testament to the hardest working guide around.
Sometimes you have to call another good guide and get a hot tip ;) EB
So EB, what ramp do you know is open at this time?
EB.....PM sent......dave
EB your not telling the truth.....we had 32, not 30....lol
Andy
Had 21 nice fish yesterday the bite was a little slow in the morning but picked up at 1:00. The water from 9A bridge to Gaines creek looks really good guys. EB
Eb....we cleaned 12....it was slow but we caught 3 dinks to every keeper
Can we get an open boat ramp update?
The only ramp I'm aware of anyone using down around Arrowhead is the one at Narconon. It's where the old Arrowhead Marina used to be. Wide paved ramp.
With the water level dropping 3' towards the end of last week, we had to keep a close eye on our dock. We were hanging up on one of the pencils and pounding it with a sledge hammer wasn't working like it usually does. We had to go redkneck and take out a floor jack and a 2x6 board. We put the board under the cap on the pencil and used the jack to "lower" the dock down on the pencil. Had to buy a pedal boat in order to get out to the dock though since the 1st section of walkway is still under water. The boat said it was rated for 5 people -- they must have been talking about kids because 3 grown men just about sank it. We discovered with that much weight in the boat, the paddle pushes water under and over which means you really go no place. That's my walkway in the background.

Below the dam open for fishing again?
It wasn't as of Saturday. They had Rangers at the entrances on both sides of the dam preventing access. We got some great pictures coming from the North side if you drive real slow (don't even think about stopping or you get a good scolding by the Rangers). But since the gates got closed a little on Sunday, they might have opened up again now. Prior to it being closed, I heard several nice sized kitties were being caught.
As of Sunday afternoon the Dam was still closed for access. Really is amazing how much water is flowing through there.
Eufaula boy.....PM sent today....dave
Dave you can launch at Arrowhead EB
Is the dam open for fishing yet?
From what I have been told, the Corp closed that area due to drunks fighting over a place to park. What started out as a couple of guys fighting turned into a knock out brawl.
Stink, fishing is serious sometimes lol
Guys there are some fish biting on the south end of the lake the water is 6-18 inch vis. Now you have to beat the flooded bushes but you can get into some. All the fish caught in the top of the bushes 2-4ft deep. Lime chart has been the best color. EB
Thanks for the informative post EB. Is the ramp at Arrowhead easily used? I'm thinking about coming down tomorrow, and I've never used that ramp before.
Thanks,
