Hello! I've been following this website for about a year and decided to join! Wanted to report I caught a lot of fish over the weekend on the bank on the north end of the lake (before it started raining Tuesday). Average size was 12" and almost all males. Fish were in one to three feet of water. I thought the spawn had already begun.

Welcome Crappie Assassin.....Ranger
In some places I am sure that they are thinking about it. But as a whole it hasn't started yet. Still catching fish on the break lines early and they are moving up later in the day after the sun warms the water. The shallower the water such as it is on the North and South ends and up the creeks it warms faster than open water so with that said I am sure they are thinking about it in those type of places...Good Luck and welcome again.....Ranger

Hi everyone, another newbie here. Been fishing on lake Eufaula all of my life. My dad and I kept 31 today. The average size of the fish that we caught today was off a little bit from what it had been but we still managed to catch some nice ones. We spent half the day looking for fish and caught 25 of the 31 in the last 2 hrs. We started around 8 and quit at 2:30. Fished minnows 3-7 ft in 8-10 FOW. Hope everyone has fun at the tourney tomorrow. I'm not gonna make it this time.

Headed down to Crowder area yesterday for a day of bank fishing. Long story short, fished around the Cemetery for a few hours, then hit the little cove to the SE of the Rock Creek bridge and then back to the neck leading to Crowder lake. It was in that neck that I caught a little 10" male and hooked into something pretty big. Probably a drum or big bass. It wrapped me up and broke off. Got there at about 10:30 and left a lil after 3 and that was all I caught. Used minnows and fished 6" to 6' deep and just couldn't find them.
Stopped by Gentry Creek on the way home and within 45 minutes had 3 12"+ Crappie. Decided to stay a while and the last hour before dark the Crappie Gods flipped the switch and they came alive! Ended the afternoon with 16 crappie. The odd thing was, is that nearly half were Black species and all of these except 1 were males. This includes several that were in the 12 to 13.5" range.
Met another Gentleman who was wading and he had about a dozen keepers. Most fish were caught in less than 3' of water fishing about a foot down.
They should be absolutely on fire today!

I was able to get out yesterday evening with Winger. We fished from I-40 to west of Gentry creek. Saw several people catching from the bank but not any great numbers. The water temps were from 56-58 degrees. We caught 7! EB
