The Marina itself carries minnows and has some BG baits. Crappie Pro is over toward Belle Star. If you're coming from the State Park, take a left when you come out of the Park and to the main road (Hwy 150), go down until you have to take another left (you'll be headed East then), go under Hwy 69 and continue East until you come to the Belle Star turnoff and Crappie Pro is just past the turnoff on the right.
OkieDon,
I will remember for next time, we may go down in Summer, I was honestly shocked that there was not alot bait shops round. Ya we've been to the marina twice now and truly enjoy it, but more so when catchin, we get our Minners there. Stopped by Tanners, and not sure if they were restockin or what but there was not alot of anything in there.......I heard some other fisherman talkin bout a place that made there own lures there somewhere in Eufaula but did not catch the name. Thanks again!!

Sooner there is one tackle shop in Eufaula called Canadian River outdoors, they are stocked pretty well! If your looking for crappie baits in plastics and jig heads, Crappie pro is right down the road from Tanners. Larry is stocked to the walls. Then there is Todd Huckabees store/cafe in Crowder he has got good stuff in there as well!
Saturday Report- Fished around Crowder and ended up with 22 keepers, the day started off pretty, but it got cloudy and windy that evening, most of the fish we had were 10 inch fish nothing great! The fish did move up shallow towards the late evening. We caught are last few fish in 4-8 fow! Water temps 56-59
Sunday Report- We went south and caught around 30 nice fish, we had 3-1.5's, 2 1.75's, and 1-2.00lber.We only kept fish over 12 inches. When we started it was raining pretty good but the fish were biting. We were spider-rigging jigs and minnows over channel breaklines over 10-14 fow. Water temps 55-58. We tried a few shallow areas and caught some but for the most part they are still relating to the main channel. "I was on the phone with Odie when we caught the 2lb fish LOL" EB
Ever notice that fish seem to bite more when you are on your cell phone?
Kept 4, threw back 5 or 6 over a two hour period from 5:15 to 6:15 this evening fishing at 14 feet deep off my buddy's dock. Water temp is 56 degrees and should be warming up even more through this week. My buddies that usually fish from this same dock tore em up over the weekend while it was raining. Things are getting better every day.
WOW!! were we surprised about several things yesterday. The first thing was how stained the water was in the Coal and Rock creek area, 2-3 inch visibility at best. Then the water temp was already 63-65 degrees in the creeks on March 14th. The biggest surprise of all was that there weren't any cooperating crappie up in the creeks with those water temps. We have fished these areas for years and can't ever remember crappie not being up in these creeks when the water temps got above 55, much less 65. My journal showed that also. We talked to 3 other boats and they said the same thing. We fished from 1100-1445 in this area and had 1 crappie that was 3 inches long. We finally had enough and moved out toward the main lake area and found a little clearer water, maybe 5-6 inch visibility. We marked some brush in 10-14 fow and immediately started catching fish. We fished until 1830 and ended the day with 25 keepers, biggest ones were around 13inches with most being 10-11 inches. Electric chicken, Blk/pink, and red/char were the best colors. I am going to give it a few days and head back down on Monday to see if it clears up any. The water temps are right, there must be some other reason why they are not in the creeks yet. That is why they still call it fishing!!
Odie
Decided to hit Graves again today. Didn't make it down until about 3. Buddy and I fished till about 7 and had 4 keepers. Some people had been there all day and didn't have that many. Water temp was 63 to 64 and the water was stained up the creek to a tad muddy near the mouth.
We caught most of our fish at 6 to 8 ft in 10 to 14ft of water. We used minnows tightlined over brush.
We fished brush from 2 ft to 14ft but it seemed they liked the 6 to 8 ft. range. I would have bet they'd been on fire with that water temperature, but it wasn't so! Go figure.
