South of sarge has been best for me. Water north is pretty stained. Scan the edges in 10 to 20. Better fish off of jigs myself.

I'm going to Kaw on Monday first time on the lake. Can you tell me an area to start that is the best. Any info would be appreciated!

D. You talking south of sarge is that up in five fingers? What's the lake looking like? I might have to try it tomorrow.
No I don't spend much time in five fingers area. But probably should. Break lines with structure ion 10 to 20.
Went back out to areas around Sarge I had been having some success in last night and fished with Jigs and minnows, was pretty dismal, 6 fish in about 3 hrs, I HATE WATCHING FISH ON THE DEPTH FINDER AND NOT BEING ABLE TO GET BIT!!!!!
However the Jug fishing on the lake was GREAT this weekend.
X3! That is the most frustrating thing about crappie fishing for me- makes me feel like I don't have a clue what I'm doing- which may be true actually!

Went out Sunday and same story here fish were everywhere and no bites couldn't have been more of a frustrating day but you never know until you try. Ready for winter to show up
There is so much food swimming around that lake, it's a wonder that any fish will bite. Every throw of the cast net brings in a bucket load of shad, little perch and 4" sand bass.
I'm experiencing the same problem below the dam striper and catfishing Dennis. When they opened the bug gates 2.5 feet it absolutely flooded it with shad and tiny sandie, striper, and hybrids. The bite has been totaly hit amd miss ever since. I haven't seen a decent crappie down there all year
