Getting my boat rigged out this week. Upgrading all the electronics etc. Hope to have it ready by next weekend. Good Lord willing planning on doing guided trips for crappie and catfish starting around the first of the year on Kaw.

Kenance another way that works real well in any lake is running a drop shot rig with 2 jigs. You can play with the distance from the weight to the first jig after you determine where the fish are holding. Set TM speed .02 to .03 and let the weight bounce through the rocks instead of your jig. Once you determine the depth they are holding it can get really good. Don't get hung up so often. Drop shot weight depends on depth and speed. The deeper you go the more weight you will need. There will be days when you have to drop the jig in the rocks to get bit but normally they will hit the drop shot rig. You can either hold a couple of rods or my preference is spider riggin.

Thanks. Been on this lake since 1980. Enjoy watching other folks catch their first 2 lb plus crappie
Trimmed some cedars and put it to good use.
Well boys, looks like I will be back down there on Friday. Will give you a report afterwards.
