EB, thanks, that info does help. I "sometimes" get confused when I see all the different lines. I am using the Crappie Maxx, but for me it is too "stiff" and does it does twist more than I like.

The visciuos line in a mono line, it is a little softer than the other his/vis lines out there it has little or no memory. I have used Crappiemaxx his/vis line for years because it was so convienant to buy! The difference in the two is the crappie maxx kinks and twist worse than the viscious. It is a very smooth casting line. There is a line out there for every technique.
Casting- 6lb Visciuos
Vert jigging shallow- 6lb visciuos or crappie maxx
Vert jigging deep- 6 lb Power pro
Spider rigging- 10 lb Crappie maxx
Huckabee or double dipping - 10lb mono
Hope this helps! EB

Was able to get on the lake today early Wt was 55.2 and warmed to 57.3 at 5 this afternoon. The bite was really off to say the least and caught alot of small fish today which we hadn't been doing with sandbass mixed in as well. Ended up cleaning 25 nice fish but they were really scattered today for some reason. Guess it was the blue bird day after a front. All in all it was a beautiful day on the water to say the least though.....Ranger

I'm using Power Pro Super 8 Slick for casting is $20 for 150 yds twice the price of regular Power Pro is hi-vis and stiffer. Do not like it that well for jigging. Thanks EB for your input on types of lines
Fished today mid lake to above Rocky. We bombed out early but ended up with 28 crappie and 1 sandbass. Fish were in DOW from 16' to 24' and caught alot of short fish today. They were not on everything, you had to find the right stuff. WT was 43 degrees and water clarity is beautiful this time of year. Slab Bandits was the bait of choice today in pearl/truse and blue/pearl. Nothing else seemed to work today....Ranger

Unloaded up in the river at 12:35 and fished my way up. Caught between 50 and 60 short fish and after the sun came out finally found some wood in 16' to 20' that was holding some decent fish. Ended up with 17 keepers in the last 2 hours I fished and broke the Hex of the clean boat. Baits of choice were Slab Bandits and I did throw a few Minnow Minders as well......Ranger

I am going to try and take Mrs Professional for a few hours Sunday afternoon. I haven't fished Ft Gibson since our tournament last summer. Would someone with an educated guess think my best shot would be up the river? I am still boatless but am going to borrow my father in laws who lives just up the hill from flat rock creek ramp. His boat has very basic electronics so I'm sure I will be doing more hunting than fishing. I have gotten spoid looking at Ledge's Big Fat Liar with the down and side scan with GPS.
Anyone hit Gibson lately? Gonna give it a try tomorrow.
