Redge is right...took his advise earlier this year and got a Terrova with ipilot and i LOVE it. No anchor needed and if you fish several piles it will remember them and navigate for you (limited distance)

My son Zeke has been trying to talk me into that trolling motor for dummies for a year. He is checking into the options now. My primary concern is which one is the simplest to operate? Technology is not my friend. With my old boat this may be like putting glitter on a pig but maybe Santa won't see it that way. Appreciate your weighing in guys. I have read some good and bad reviews and I had put this on a back burner but I have gotten to where I am always looking over my shoulder worried that Professor Mark is gonna catch me with my anchors out so maybe it's time! If you have one that is old man proof let me know. Thanks.

I understand Doug's been using his trolling motor a lot lately.

Would have one on my Ranger if I didn't have to build a bracket to make it fit. And I dont think you can get a 45" sbaft in one either but to be honest hadn't researched it all that much either....I might want to try it myself...lol......Ranger

Shoot your so good on the other one, I wouldn't change ! However it sure is nice to be able to hit spot lock, and have boat control off your mind.
