Well if you get out by yourself, you'll be more apt to move until you find the fish. Lol

If you're like me, you'll work harder by yourself. [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

I almost always do better solo. although I’ve had some epic days fishing with others that were way better because I had company. It doesn’t get much better than being knee deep in fish in a boat with someone else boating an equal amount of fish.

Not a current photo but from a time when I was ankle deep in fish with a buddy. Catching them so fast we didn’t have time to string them up until after the frenzy. Luckily that boat leaked like hell so it was more like a big live well. We just dropped them in the easy checker if the kept we tossed them on the floor and casted for another didn’t tie them up till there was a lull in the action. It was a helluva day!

Figured that was coming, since you're back to work! You'll go from fishing to mushroom hunting!

Well guys it’s supposed to hit a whopping 40 degrees by 5pm.[emoji53] I guess it could be worse it could be snowing again. For some reason I don’t mind the cold when I’m fishing so much but I hate it when I’m at work. Mostly because of the constant whining of some of my coworkers. I’ll be at stupid work all day I may try and run to the lake after depending on what time I finish up. I should be finishing a job up today that was bid for 200 hours. I’ll be glad to be finished with this project and the way things look I’ll even be 80 hours ahead of schedule. ??They better remember that when it’s time to cough up more money here in the near future. [emoji41]
Bigeyurk25 get out of bed wash the smell of perfume off and go catch up some fish! [emoji23] Do it up[emoji123].
Best of luck to all those who make it out today I’ll just be working and wishing [emoji4]. Attachment 297660Attachment 297661

" I guess it could be worse it could be snowing again. For some reason I don’t mind the cold when I’m fishing so much but I hate it when I’m at work. Mostly because of the constant whining of some of my coworkers."
We got about an inch or so of snow down here last night. Even the cat hates it, he just sits at the door looking out then he looks at me like "make it go away" He won't go outside unless we shovel the snow off the deck. He won't get off the deck until it melts off the grass.
I hear you about those whining coworkers. Everyday I would think "shut-up...be a man, if ya don't want to be here go away" If I hated something so bad and I had to cry about it, I would find something else to do.
FINALLY! So after sitting at the BMV for an hour trying to get my sideways license[emoji57], I got to the lake about 1:45. Fished till 4. Caught 1 crappie and then countless gills and perch. All off gulp and Black jig head. I’d guess somewhere around 30 fish in 2 hours. Of course the lady decided to drive 45 minutes from school just to fish with me. Must mean I’m doin somethin right haha. She got a few herself including a good redear and lost about a 4lb largemouth that broke her line. All in all, the weather wasn’t bad cause there was no wind but it didn’t stop snowing the whole time. Great day to be out. Here’s just a few of the fishAttachment 297724Attachment 297725Attachment 297726Attachment 297727Attachment 297728

Way to go bro! Now the real question is will she drive 45 minutes to meet you on the ice and fish? If so, you got yourself a keeper! [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

It always baffles me when people sign up to work outdoors then show up unprepared to work outdoors. Cry complain and drag their feet all day... I try and tell them slacking ain’t gonna get them back in their warm house any faster. This years crop of new hires is probably the worst I’ve ever seen everyone seems to think they are entitled to an easy task. I work for a very large well known employee owned company nearly everyone at the top started at the bottom just like me.
Ive worked my way to the middle I’m still out in the field handling various projects. Within the next two years hopefully a less labor intensive position will hopefully open up for me in my region. I’ve been offered desk jobs but I’m not willing to relocate unless it’s somewhere I really want to go.
Some of these people we bring in think they should be behind a desk running major projects or dealing with clients they & don’t even know what half the tools in the truck are for or how to use them. I told my boss this morning if these folks are the future of our company maybe I should sell my stock now.
Most of these people wouldn’t last an hour in some of the conditions I’ve worked in. They have now clue what hot or cold really is. They have never been in a natural disaster area with snow so high you have to unload your loader to push a path to get your truck through.
They have never seen the aftermath of a hurricane with 1,000s of trees some 8 1/2 ft in diameter laying everywhere and be working in 100 + degree heat with 100% humidity with limited equipment & supplies working dark to dark for weeks. I don’t even do anything with trees at all normally in my regular line of work but if I’m needed I go wherever and do whatever.Attachment 297737
The whiners would die or run home to mommy.
They may think I’ve got things easier than them and maybe it’s true sometimes. But I earned it and if they want any perks or respect from me they are gonna earn it too.
Bruh I totally recognize the ground at GBB it’s kinda hard not to when there’s only 4 fishable spots on that north side of it . and I’ve spent hundreds of hours in all of them [emoji23] I can probably find a picture In my cloud that has those same exact roots.

I think that our employers should let us work 2 days a week and fish 5 days a week. That being said you know where I'll be at today. [emoji22] [emoji22]

It probably will be a great bite. I won't be able to find out about that today. [emoji22] [emoji22] I'll be like you, working and thinking about fishing. Anyway good luck to everyone that is able to get out and enjoy the weather doing something they want to. And on a side note Happy Birthday to Bigeyurk25! You've made it to 21, now you can quit counting. [emoji12] [emoji12]
