Caught a few today the bite was tough but we got a few to cooperate. Did some wading with Bprice1301 and Erieangler51 it was a good time! Fish were caught on maribou jigs , gulp minnows & live minnows.

I made it out yesterday afternoon and started where we quit the day before. The only thing I could manage to catch were gills. Threw eveything I had and the only fish biting were the gills. Moved from there went down to GBB it was the same results. Good luck out there today, this crap weather could only happen in Ohio. I'm on my way to Sandusky with the family for a few nights at the indoor water park. Gotta love spring break! [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

Tons of short fish today! Made plans to go out with a friend this afternoon in his boat so this morning I did a little wading to pregame and kill some time. Caught one 9.5” crappie first cast on a white 1/32 maribou jig. Attachment 296815 I was thinking to myself this might be decent today. I was Wrong caught 9 more crappie all 8.5 and under. Packed it up and went to the ramp to meet my friend got to the area we wanted to fish first cast 8” crappie on the white maribou jig. Told my buddy at least we know they are here. Caught a couple more little guys then decided to switch to a smaller presentation. Orange 1/80th jig and one inch black Shad gulp. Immediately smacked an 11” er Attachment 296817. Then the dinks came again caught over 20 crappie 6-8.5” caught one other good crappie other than that.
The small ones were the only thing that wanted it today and even then I had to work them. That jig needed to be popping and twerking like it was on the champagne stage! Water temp was 48.7 the sunshine felt good even tho it was chilly out. Still nice to be on the water and not at work [emoji41 Attachment 296821Attachment 296820

The 1inch gulp minnow in either black Shad or watermelon is as Bigeyurk25 said deadly. Paired with a 1/64th or 1/80th jig orange is my go to jig color white is my 2nd choice. If the crappie are around they seldom turn them down. I really like it when I can get them going on 1/32 maribou jigs and hair jigs.Quote:

2 crappie and 20+ dink gills. Bite was strait garbage. Tried tons of baits and presentations only thing that worked was an orange 80th jig & 1 inch black Shad gulp. 2.5ft deep in 5 fow.

Well if it makes you feel better, I couldn't get a bite on anything today. Did try everything I brought and not knowing the area here I was trying to fish didn't help.
