I did pick up on the David Allen Coe theme!
You're definitely in a Good area for BIG SLAB Crappie fishing, I'm envious!....I took ALOT of my knowledge and experience living in the South, and tried to use it to help CJ when the GROUP got together to try and make CJ better.
Hopefully we get to the point at CJ where we have a Solid Crappie Fishery where NICE SLABS are common.
Before we started the average Slab was probably 7-8 inches and fish over 12 were becoming rare, due to the overfishing, loss of cover, shad kills, etc...IMHO, I would now guess the AVERAGE fish is getting close to 10, and fish from 13 to 15 are more common, with a few 17's being caught.
Between the Size and Creel limits, along with the Projects, things are really looking up for us!
