Okay, thanks guys. Gas it is. I love the idea of getting 500k out of a truck, but I don't need to haul anything. And it looks like I can count on someone crashing into me about every 100k miles, so no point investing in the distant future. Besides, I love my mechanic and wouldn't want to part company with him.
Good to know about Tundras and Nissans. What about the Tacoma? Is it any better? I thought my Ram was incredibly comfortable, another reason I don't want to go back to a small truck. If Chevys are more comfortable, bring it on. I drove an extended cab S10 for many years and had great luck with it, so it wouldn't take any convincing to go back to a Chevy.
Thanks, Feesh. I've also got a friend of canebreaker's in Water Valley on the lookout for me, as well as someone in Memphis. I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy off Craigs list, but it was the easiest place to start looking.
So now that the gas vs diesel question is settled, should I have similar concerns about 4WD?
