Default Pole Limit vs Hook Limit ?

I am thinking that I would much rather have 5 poles with 1 hook as opposed to 3 poles with 2 hooks. What do you guys think? Might be a way to propose it to the commission and get some positive response since you are actually lowering the odds of catching fish by the number of hooks in the water as opposed to taking away poles.

You are still loosing, at 3 poles now at Sardis and Grenada most of us use 6 baits now, if they went back to five poles but cut to one hook you would just have 5 baits in the water.
Could very well be a back up plan tho, I hope not. Hope we can gain a little bit of ground and not back up any.

not according to the way the rules are written....one bait is considered a hook.

Ya, still losing but sometimes a compromise works well for all. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to fish with only one hook and would make rigging and transport much easier but I ain't going to 1 hook unless all you gewbers are to, lol.

that would reduce the pressure by one hook....so far reducing the pressure is the only reason that has been given

I agree Handi, we have to have some compromises in mind for sure. Hooks haven't been in question and are most likely best left alone but we will see.
