    You must run the engine at high rpm's to burn off any extra oil on the plugs. I don't know how many hours I have on a 4.5 johnson and on my big motor pulling crankbaits.

    It's not that you got to worry about it getting hot it's the carbon build up inside the motor is all I am saying I ant trying to argue with you guys just telling you the the facts even the best gas in the world is going to have carbon deposits.

    Same here. I've only pulled with ym big motor and never had any problems but I make sure to blow the soot out of it for about 10 to 15 minutes. Just run it wide open and clean it out

    No worries here oleblue! We all have different ways of doing things. I'm going to keep doing it the way I have for years and Torch don't worry about him he dont know nothing about motors!

    I use QuickKlean ever tank and have had no black around the exhaust yet.

    I have the Trollamatic on my 75 merc and also a kicker 6 hp along with a Terrova. Batteries go down I use the kicker.

    Same boat I have. I also run a 55lb 12v V2 but I have 2 batteries hooked up to it, I get about 6 hours cranking on it. I also have a happy troller plate to run w/ the big motor but don't use it much anymore.
