Here is a picture of the pull handle that I put on the boat dock where I fish. I hope you can see it good enough. I made the bar out of 1" steel pipe and bolted it to the boat dock. I also made a 8"x 8" square plywood box step that I fastened to the deck of my boat as a extra step to get in and out of boat. It's better to have the extra help getting in and out of the boat than to trip up and have to have a replacement or another replacement. Good luck with the new knee.
