Apparently there is a rat that comes out of the woods in evening. It eats Ann's red flowers, that's it. She knows because she has seen it on one of the cameras. Driving her nuts. She has put out all kind of traps - you name it. She even bought one that electrocutes them. Not doing the poison thing because of the dogs and critters we have out here. She can't catch it. Yesterday, she put out a small bowl of baking soda, flour, and sugar mixed together. She claims that rats cannot burp or fart, so it does them in. Appears the rat took a taste yesterday evening, we'll see. Now if that rat nibbled on the tomato plants, I'd have to take matters in my own hand.

They opened up the new super Walmart in Carencro, next to the SuperOne (Brookshire's). I love Brookshire's because they cut to my specifications. So glad that the super Walmart opened up next door.

Had Randy's birthday crawfish boil today. Everyone had a good time. We pitched in together and got him two custom carvings by Pine Baron Chainsaw Carvings. I think he's a happy fisherman.

Yes, we switched the numbers and it's not a crappie.

At the table is my daughter, grandson, and son in law. Of course Ernie never leaves my side. The chainsaw wood carvings are excellent and really surprised me when I opened up the present (which was wrapped in Sponge Bob Square pants wrapping). Ann has a friend that has a son that does those. Those will look nicely on the stained pastel wood planked wall I did. Great time I had, and the crawfish was superb as always.

Great looking party Randy, I love the looks of the little cheese cakes. How much did the fish weigh.

Looks like a tropical storm passed through here last night. Downed branches everywhere. That was some serious wind we had.

Coming through here tonight and tomorrow. I was supposed to fish at Santee tomorrow, but 25 to 30 MPH winds on that lake is like the perfect storm. I will be there all week and the rest of the time looks good. Just hope all the rain doesn't turn it into a mud hole.
