Wanted to share what I made today. One of my Lab groups, Labradorks does a Super Bowl spreadsheet. We don't buy the squares, but just pick them. A few of us donate prizes for the quarterly winners. So, some lucky person will win this. It's 5 x 7.

At the top of a drilling rig derrick is the crown block (a series of sheaves) surrounded by a small platform called the water table. In the drilling business a new hand is called a "worm" out on the rig. Back in my roughnecking days, we would send a worm climbing the derrick with a five gallon bucket of water for the "water table".
Yes, I did climb the derrick doing such a thing when I was a worm at 16 years old. Some of you oilfield folks know what I'm talking about.

Trimming off the dead material out in the yard in the beds after the hard freeze. Lots for sure, going back and forth with the wheelbarrow. Went up to one of the lemon trees I thought dead, ya'll saw that I posted earlier. Low and behold, new growth on the "dead" branches:
Interesting for sure. Haven't a clue what's that about. Took a look at a large rosemary bush we have close by. This bush is getting obnoxious. That is a premium herb as far as I am concerned. Put that in some white gravy over chicken - mercy.
Strolled over to my Jane Magnolia while unloading the wheel barrow. I call it my tulip tree. Sure makes me smile to see fresh blooms.
Going to shut it down early this evening. The Miss Universe Pageant is on my antenna television on Fox. Not into folks wanting to kill things on the satellite television. I swear the women coming out of South America is the premium import into this country. Serious thoroughbreds for sure.
Randy don't trim any fruit trees just yet. While some look dead after the freeze, they'll come back after a while. Wait into March before you prune.

Taking a short break at the moment. Busy in the yard. Back behind the house off the ridge, probably a couple of hundred feet, noticed some crawfish have apparently been digging. I assume they came in with the flood last August.
I know good and well none escaped during my last crawfish boil. Of course, Ernie had to investigate while doing that. He wanted to go inside afterwards.
We have lever lock sets on the house when I built it (I do mean built it - not having someone build it), not the knob type. Ernie knows how to open and shut the doors. He posed on this occasion. These trimmed beds I'm pleased with thus far.
Never mind the tub on the stand in the picture. My worm bed is getting a break at the moment.

Ann ordered a "special" antenna for the television instead of the one we have now. She doesn't care for having to adjust the one we now have.

Now she can sit sit back and rotate it via remote, so she says. It's like maybe we watch the television a couple of hours a week. She's in there fooling with it now. I said fine, as long as the cables, etc. are nice and tidy once said and done. Not fooling with that - she knows it.
We don't live in the "past" with the antenna, it's just that we have better things to do. Extremely fast internet here. Not into watching folks surviving, nor killing gators, ducks, and bigfoot.
