We are collecting stuff to stock the camper freezer with so far we have chicken and pork chop we got on sale weenies and ground meat too. We plan to do like usual go set up in the woods and as we eat a hole in the freezer refil it with cleaned fish. The goal is to fill it as we empty it then bring it home.
    I like that plan!

Das how we roll. we load up the small freezer in the camper with weenies pork chops chicken etc etc. the pantry with canned of=kra and such. We will make gumbo then can it as well. Go camping or hunting. We aint greedy never catch more than 12 sacs no matter how good they biting. Eat some clean some and slowly replace what we brought with cleaned fish or game. We try to eat all teh stuff we bring and freeze it back ful but it dont always work that way but tis a fun goal to have.

While at Cabala's on Friday, looked at their Henry carbine's. Excellent rifles right there. Have seen those in catalogs, but never held one. Don't get me wrong, love my Winchester model 94, but those Henry's are serious. I was taught early on to only hunt with open sights, and always with a carbine. My grandfather said it was/is the only way to be a sportsman. Still, to this day, believe him. Wish I wouldn't have seen those rifles.

Very fine rifles. And they do feel good when you hold them.

Calling it good, pooped. Tenderized and marinated some thin sirloins earlier. Bread them up and fry for a very good chicken fried steak. Thick white gravy of course. Mash some of the pretty red tators will work nicely with that. Ann made a small blackberry cobbler for dessert. Ya'll aren't living right.

Blackberry cobbler makes everything taste better, of course.

Tators and white gravy next - then we're done.
