I would add that more than likely, a majority of those boats are not catching their limit. Brhunt, and people like the Chief and Slowtroll, are excellent fishermen with a lot of experience on Jordan. I know a couple of guys that went yesterday and only caught 13 keepers all day. They are the ones that come out when the fishing gets good and someone gives them a call or they read the reports on this website.

Many factors to consider. What you see here is a small percentage of what is on the lake. BR said it right about most people not having the good luck that a few have. The state said 20 fish 10in. or more. I say catch all you can USE up to that limit. It is the people that break that law and catch many more of all sizes and let them go bad because they are too tired to clean them that need to be yelled at. Also remember that the days that they bite the best are far outnumbered by the bad days due to weather and wind. Obey the law, catch what you can eat and eat what you catch. We will have plenty and if nature kills them off we will wait three years again. My 2 cents plus. If you see SEA DANER please say "hello". If you see my marker, fish around it. Lets enjoy the bounty we have been given.

I love reading about and catching fish. but all these post about all these fish being caught by all these boats don't seem right. Yes this site is about sharing information about catching fish but not about wiping them out. Seems more like fishing in a barrel, not my idea of fun. Just my 2 cents worth.
Roy I eat fish twice a week. I also take filets to elderly friends who can't get out. I give a pack of filets to a woman who digs through garbage( I caught her in mine) every week on garbage day. I guess you could say I share.

Good report,BR. For the uninformed critic, I'd say you need to meet BR on the lake. He's always willing to share information with others. And he does know how to catch them.
Jordan is a crappie factory, subject to natural changes in fish classes as well as the cold water disaster we had a few years ago. Banding together and showing interest as a group helped WR officials introduce more TF Shad this year to a crappie population that was already recovering. Now, we have great fishing that lives up to the Jordan reputation. Enjoy it while you can. Next year, there will be fewer fish, but there will also be some real hogs.

Was talking with WRC biologist yesterday. He said that just about any kind of fish that is in Jordan does good. It is a fish growing machine.
