Every spring I wake up and the first thing I think about is crappie fishing. But here lately my first thoughts have switched to bow hunting, I think it was brought on by the arrival of the Cabelas archery catalog. My father in law has hunting privileges on some premium ground in Henry County. In between trips down there I hunted some public ground pretty hard up here in Smithville the last few years. One spot that I found last year seemed to hold several mature bucks and I never saw another hunter there all year.
