No summer pool should be the only time for trolling the lake is full and the fish are spread out. Gives the fish a chance. Low lake levels like spring and fall and winter there's not to many hiding places. I pull cranks like nobody's business from May to September. Single pole the rest of the year. Also run yoyos. I do it all. A trolling season would be good. Just like snagging in the spillway I've tried that once last winter and I will be doing that again. There are so many different techniques to catch crappie I think folks would enjoy it better it gives them something to look forward to. Just like deer and turkey seasons.
