I have no opinions on this and will follow the rules whatever they may be. Lots of good posts. My late Dad always thought that crappie fishing should be closed from mid March to end of April. Seems that may be the only fair way to do it without preventing each person from fishing the way he/she likes at different times of year. In the end, whatever the biologists see fit to better our lakes, we have to respect their decisions for the benefit of our lakes. They are doing a great job, and will continue to do so. As I have stated before, where else in the country, or the world for that matter, do you have lakes with this much fishing pressure that still produce outstanding fishing for numbers and size? Bet you can't name any. It all goes back to lake management. Just let the professionals do their job, and just enjoy what we are blessed with. If rule changes are necessary, just adapt and worry about it then. We should all be in favor of what is best for our great fishing lakes. My 2 cents, lol.
