Rees it doesn’t have to buy I can’t think of a way to rig it up like that. I only have 19 bucks in this setup

19 bucks, lordy, mine cost me a case of Milwaukee's Best Light back in the day and it will hold 16 rods.

The titelok version of this goes for 75 each. I figured 19 was pretty good

Sorry, but a true Mississippi slab will take your set up, beat you with it, and take it down to the murky bottom.
I have been right there in your shoes, we all have, and trying to do it as least expensive as possible. But in reality, you will end up spending more money in the long run chasing that set up when you could just do it right the first time and buy QUALITY products.
Many of a fish have been caught trolling with rod holders attached to a 2x4 frame on the front bow.

Is that 19 per holder? Not sure how many you plan on building but if you make 8 that's $152 you can get a set of hi tek holders for $90 a piece for a 4 pole set up

I’ve never had a store bought rod holder, although there is one I’d like to have. My dad is still using the ones I made for him 15 years ago. They cost me less that $1 each to build. Now when I get my glitter boat I’ll probably get the ones I want , but for now mine work fine. My boat looks like the Beverly Hillbillies at times but it catches fish Single rod holder got me stumped

Keep at it and you’ll figure it out. Why do you want single holders?

As I remember BRMs setup allowed great versatility. Quite easy to pull to wherever you want them and adjust the rod angle to what suits you. Also,as I remember they seemed to attract quite large crappie.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

a gun the goes bang when it is supposed to go click.

I have a set of 4 rod holders now. I would like to go to single rod holders just because if one shakes only one shakes.

Get a 1/2" pipe flange and mount it on the boat where you wish. Add a 1/2" pipe nipple the length you want. Add a 1/2" cap to the nipple. Drill and tap the cap the size needed. Attack rod holder.
Look in electrical supplies for aluminum ridged pipe.
