My chart says 17' deep for 130' of line and 18' deep for 150' of line. Don't we have to subract a foot from the depth due to pole being a foot above water (17' - 1' = 16')? Just trying to understand this.....

Wasn't trying to split hairs...just trying to figure out effect if I run my poles higher......for instance, if I ran them 4 foot above surface do I have to subtract 4 foot from depth shown on chart? I think the answer is yes, but just trying to confirm.

I don't think it need to be so precise that you have to worry about it. I have 6 poles most of the time and run them all a few feet different. Seem that most of the time as long as they are within 10' or so, they'll get bit.

If you're a marine you already have.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

Since it is under tension while trolling and being thinner diameter, braid will run deeper. Braid will ride higher in the water column than mono/flouro/copoly in a no tension situation.
