Hadn't yet, but you better get G3 to delete this before Maj sees it
Yep they look great and Strike King is one of C.c's sponsors this year.
Strike King® Slab Hammer Crappie Cranks, Crankbaits, Hard Baits, Fishing : Cabelas.com
Only dives 8', so Pfffffffffffffttttttttttt...
G3, Pffffffffffffttttttttttttt..
I don't know about Maj....but I have some on the way to try out.
I've been experimenting pulling Bandits off one side and similar color but other brands off the other. Hard to say at this point but the first time I tried this, the "other" caught more crappie.
It never hurts to try other crankbaits....you might be suprised. I tried pulling rattle traps ( lipless crank baits) out in open water where there was not a lot of stuff to hang up on.....guess what.....they catch crappie, just don't slow down or stop the motor unless you reel them all in because they do not float.
now how did I know Maj done went there
Bye the Way. All these Crank Bait Pulling posts are supposed to be in one place, that's why I started it.
Was that the same OTHER you were pulling at Chotard? If so, I've had some real good luck AT TIMES with them over Bandits
Yes they were the "others" at Chotard.
Has any one used the ABU Garcia line counter reals?
I have not heard of anyone that has.
Here is a picture of it. It's an A20 and not that bad on a price either.

That looks a lot like the Okuma MA20DX, what is the price?
Isn't the line counter on the other side than the Okuma?
I can get them, I will have to check but I think about $40-$50 range.
I may order a couple and try them.
Yep....the ABU has it on the opposite side.....also it is out board of the reel frame instead of inboard like the Okumas. ABU Garcia is good stuff.....I still have 5 of the ABU Garcia Ambassadeur bait casters from my bass fishing days and I always liked them. I have a half a dozen ABU Garcia spinning reels also.
Ok time for another question or two. What lb thrust tm do y'all use and does anyone use a solar charger to get more time out of the batteries?
Just asking the more I thank about it the more I don't want to put the wear and tear or the hrs on my motor.
I use an 80 on my 175. I've been wondering about the solar chargers myself, anyone have any actual experience with them?
I have a 24v solar charger with a voltage regulator on it that I was trying to use to keep my game feeder batteries charged. It wouldn't do the job, so I attached it to my tractor battery, wouldn't do that either. Before that, I tried various sizes and models of 12v and 6v on the game feeders and game cameras. I have had nothing but bad results with them. Now, that has been 4-5 years ago, so maybe they are better today, can't be much worse. Maj, I'm not going to eat there again......
I have a few buddy's that bow fish and they run a little generator I thank it's like 42cc weed eater motor on it they paid like 80-90 bucks for it but it keeps there batt charged while they are trolling and it puts out 13.5 that's same as my solar charger I got. I don't know about the amps but they can run for ever like that only reason for the battery is to keep the trolling motor from pulsing.
The bow fishin guys I know here mainly use the Gen to run the lights, but I guess it will help with the TM as well. I also think, based on experiments, that in order to put much juice back in the TM bats the solars would have to be larger that my boat. Not enough amps.
i am gonna have to do some looking see if i can find one that puts out a few more amps even if i only get an hour or so more out of the batt it would be worth it to me.
I need one to keep my cranking battery charged while running all the bait and live wells.
Anybody got a depth chart for Brad's Wigglers like the depth chart we have for the Bandit crankbaits? I wasn't sure if they were in that Troller's Book... If so, can somebody take a picture of it and post it up?

You got a good start on it Zack.
Yep Zach is addicted, lol
As you know, I run 2 live wells and 1 minnow well all day on my battery and it still cranks....minnows and fish still alive..... secret, timers and ice...........
Just my opinion, but solar panels are a waste of time and money.... rather carry an extra battery...
Can't let this die.
Pulling cranks sure paid off for me in our Fruit Jar tourney at Lake Washington. Had a winning weight of 14.45lbs and took big fish too with a 2.45lb'er. All the studying of the info on this thread and trial and error paid off finally. Here's a look and some biguns.

I'm the guy on the left.
Hey Major, how deep of water were you pulling in? And were you using 300's? I've been catching them at Okatibbee in around 8 ft of water by spider rigging jigs and longlining curly tail grubs. I might could pull some 200's with about 25 ft of line out.
