Sitting here tonight watching an old Hee Haw on RFD channel. They don't make them like that anymore. BR549. Where oh where are you tonight, Archies barber shop, Nurse Goodbody, Buck and Roy pickin' and grinnin'. Good stuff. " If there's two flies in the kitchen, which one is the cowboy"..........The one on the range".

Gloom, Despair and agony on me......deep dark depression (something?) misery.......

    Loved that show.

Pretty interesting history on some of the cast such as Grandpa Jones and Jr.

Saw Nurse Goodbody (Gunilla Hutton) in Germany at a base I was stationed at. She was doing a country show. I ate lunch next to her and got to talk to her. She was the most beautiful person I had ever seen in person. Very nice also. Miss those old shows, but catch one from time to time.

I think those old shows were the motivation for my love of corny humor. My kids just roll their eyes when I drop a great pun on them, they call it bad dad humor. The greatest reward is when I hear then doing the same bad jokes to someone else.

Unbelievable weather change in just a few days

Blistering hot weather last weekend to 41 out this morning

Busted out the hoodie and long pants

My kind of weather. I am not built for heat. Not built for speed either come to think of it.

No shotgun here. I was raised to use a .22 and for a number of years used a .32 muzzle loader. I still hunt for them, sneak through the woods watching for branches to bounce or listen for nuts dropping or toenails on bark. I had 7 does and a spike buck walk up on me this morning. Also called in a coyote with my Mr. Squirrel call.
