Even had a tornado about 50 ft wide touch down in front of the house and went straight back up.My niece and I saw it. I will never forget her scream. Needless to say pre cell phones, we had no electricity , phones or water. We were stuck there for a few days. When we returned to Eglin 5 days later, they were hunting us as AWOL. Had to go in to see the base commander to get out of the AWOL charge. By the way, no bass caught. lol Been through many since. Katrina did a lot of damage in the Baton Rouge area where I live. But based on the New Orleans coverage, you wouldn't know it.
