When it rains it pours..went fishing yesterday, well I tried to. About half way there I see smoke/vapor coming from near tailpipe :yikes. I pull over to check, looks like a water leak, not good. I called wife to bring some water, as I wait side the road. Upon further inspection, not water but diesel fuel! I headed for home spewing fuel all over truck and boat. I called and cancelled wifes run. I made it home, unhooked boat and went to the diesel shop. Turned out to be a return line came loose, took the tech about30 min. to fix.WHEW! I used a quarter tank of fuel to go about twenty miles! Spent the next few hours at the car wash and home cleaning. Fingers crossed. Hope your day went better. bill
A few years ago right before I was set to leave for a 2 week trip down to the AR and MS crappie camps, I came out of work and noticed some drops under my truck below the drivers door. Upon closer inspection/smell it was diesel. I poked my head under, and saw my fuel lines in a sad state of affairs. Luckily the shop was able to fit me in and I had them replace all the lines to be sure.
Wish I was there. Unfortunately, I'm sitting in Slab's back yard (North Chicago) training a new hire. I should be on the road about 4am tomorrow morning.
When mom and dad showing up?
I'll be down tomorrow evening. Outa work about 4, and have one stop to make on the way.
They aren't camping. They are staying at my house. They are actually there now.
We should be over on Friday afternoon for Liarsclub.
I don't know how people live in this place! It isn't for me. I do however wish I would have brought a fishing rod. There is a 2 acre pond here at their office and nobody has fished it.
Of course, I would go buy one, but no one seems to know where someone would go to purchase something like that. They can however point me to the nearest GAP store, men's clothing outlet, jewelry, shoe store, and dinning establishment. Takes me 35 minutes to get from my hotel to the office (7 miles away). Conversely, it takes me 30 minutes to get from my house in Michigan to MY office in Lansing (and I drive 35 miles!)
