Well just call me a Luddite, a technophobe and also a poor person. Admittedly I have never used LS so I have no experience to rely on. But there has been several mentions here about significantly higher catch rates using it. If that is what is most important to you then go for it as long as it isn't destroying the fishery. I prefer finding the fish with my rod and reel. I definitely catch less than other folks. But it is still 1000% better than relaxing on the couch. I wish I could get out more than I do.

I don't have the budget to spend on high dollar electronics even if I wanted to. I don't have 20 or thirty expensive rods and reels either just a few fairly decent pieces of equipment that work just fine. I don't need any electronic hand holding to make them work.

Yeah, I describe myself as "old school". Olde pharte is another way to describe me. At 77 my time on the water is precious to me. I don't want to spend that time playing video games.
