    Thanks for the reminders. I bought one last year and have it tucked away in a corner. I will look into that as soon as I get back south.

    saute86....got my blue brella yesterday....what is the black object I see on the 90 deg elbow.....did you drill and tap for a knob to anchor the pole....looks like one near the end cap also....thanks for the picture.....

    Well I just got 'er done. Might still have to put a lock to keep the wind from launching it. I sat under it for a while in full sun and WOW, it sure made a difference. Thanks again for the reminders.

    I picked up the umbrella at Academy earlier in the year. When I was checking it out yesterday I found that a lot of the sewing was coming apart. It must have been old stock. I got it for $15. I spend the evening hand sewing and reinforcing it. Now it's good a new. Hope to try it soon.

    Tal it was very easy, 4 fittings and 4 pieces of pipe, a little glue and voila. No rocket science here.
