For jigs you really don't need a rotating vise. It's a nice thing to have but you can tie very nice jigs with a plain jane AA vice. Top of the line, heck no, far from it. Will it suffice for a beginner, heck yes. You can always upgrade later. I'm still using my AA. If I was tying to sell then a better vice would be needed but to tie a dozen or so jigs at a sitting it works out just fine. I've tied hundreds with mine and it's still going strong.
