Yes it is normal. They don't all spawn at once. We found them on Talquin from as early as January to as late as June.

So I have been fishing for crappie a lot more lately...
I would have figured the crappie were done spawning a while ago.
But after the last two trips out and going to get more minnows from my localtackle shop apparently there are lots of really big crappies being caught shallowand full of roe.
Is this normalfor the crappies to be spawning this late in the season?
Here are thepictures from yesterday’s outing with the fish I caught right before the sunwent down.

Thanks for the reply crappie limits, I am much further south however, I live 23 miles north of Tampa in Land O Lakes, FL...
My pond is spring fed and rarely gets below 65 degrees...
Figured they would be spawned out..
Thanks for the reply...

I fished Lake Pannasoffkee in late April of 2010 and the crappie were spawning then. The next year I fished Lochloosa and found crappie spawning. The next May I fished Lake George and they were spawning there. We have pretty much the same weather patterns.
Nice going Mike....
Sorry I haven't caught up with you this year..., looks like your pond is still producing..
I plan on making good on the flounder trip in a few months once they start stacking up in my summer spot..
