Newnan's lake water level
I went down to Newnan's Lake near Gainesville this past Thursday, March 27, and was pleasantly surprised at the high water level.
I launched on the southwest corner (can't think of the name of the park/launch site) near where the old Tackle Box bait and tackle shop used to be.
The water was up really decent and even though I didn't get to fish much due to the high winds and the cold, it was good seeing the water level as high as it was. It has been several years since it has been this high. The other nice thing was that the floating islands of vegetation don't seem to be lingering around the fishing pier like they were last summer.
I hope to go back this coming week and see if I can get into the specks a bit. Anybody been doing any good there?
