[QUOTE=rnvinc;2629333]If the DI is set to 455kHz ...and the SI is set to 800kHz...

Is the "washboard effect" still evident in the SI view...??

    Rickie[/QUOTE,
Good news rickie,I got rid of the washboard effect today,(YAHOO)......I was correct,I turned the pinging off to the di.work like a charm.i still dont believe that on my si,I'm getting as good of si as I do on my 998,but I'm still not changing the setting a whole lot.maybe when I get more time I'll get better with the detail.the di and the 2d is real good

Yes I did.it worked.the issues that ive found are sometimes some of the favorites open the wrong window.im going to try deleting all of the favorites and then make all custom views to see how that works.if that doesn't work its really no big deal.i can wait for an update for that,im just checking for bugs ,most of that stuff im not going to use anyhows

I'm on Lakemaster and it did the same. Try zooming on the 4 pane view without maximizing and see what it does. I wonder if my transducer is freaking out.

And to make sure I got this correct, your version is 0.0? And you have a Onix 10 and not a Onix 8 correct?

You can hear the unit pinging away on some of those videos. Just listen on the background and you can hear it.

Deil11,somethings not right,I don't hear any pinging noise coming from my unit.i just went back to check again,an I wrote down exactly what I'm seeing.(software version : 0.0.0(1/17/14 10:47) yes this is an onix 10 unit.........something that I won't to clear up in one of my post today.i said that im getting real good di an 2d but the si is not as good as what I get on my 998.well in fairness to the onix, ive really never tryed to si with my 998 ,using the trolling motor.ive always side imaged at a faster speed than what my trolling will do.the side imaging that im getting is still pretty good, but not the best that ive done

That's weird man, I have 1.120 software version, which is supposed to be the first one. That being said, my unit was built the day before I got it, so not sure if they used a newer version and that's the problem.

The pinging is supposed to be the DI, so if yours is not pinging and you have the DI running, I don't know what to say. I just got a message from the engineers and they were on the water and could not duplicate any of the things shown in the videos. Maybe I have a bad transducer which is throwing everything off. I do have an extra one so I have asked if they want me to install it.

On the SI, when it works I am getting better SI than on my old 1198. Really good detail and clarity out to 150 feet.

Diel...I notice in 1 of the videos that several of the touch gestures are not responding the first try...especially selecting a menu choice or "x-ing" out of overlayed windows...

Is there a sensitivity menu somewhere for the gesture command that may need to be increased for the screen to recognise that you are actually "touching" a command gesture...??

Rickie, there's no sensitivity menu that I can find yet. And you're correct, some of the touches will drive you nuts. When the unit first fires up you have to hit the confirm button and sometimes I hit that guy 10 times and finally it will work. On the menus if you try to slide sensitivity or any "on/off" settings, it will jump around or not even acknowledge.

The location of the "x" on top is very tight to the bezel, so you hit it and you end up hitting the choice below. Sometimes you hit the "x" but it just sits there.

I have informed the engineers of that also.

Bound to be a bad ducer causing the unit to go nuts! Kosmos sounds like it's very tame compared to yours Diel. The ping just might go away with a different ducer, give it a swap.
