My fishing buddy and I have been talking about a way to convert his cable operated trolling motor to work with a 12 volt motor to control direction. We are thinking about using a remote controlled reversible motor and mounting it under the deck with the shaft sticking thru the deck with a horizontal tee bar for each cable to fasten to. Any ideas ?
