We have ideas for mechanical control of the cable steer foot pedal....

Who has ideas to make this 12v motor controlled by remote....??

Servo motor from a cheap ROC car the steering servo would be perfect and you would have a remote.

Logisys RM09 12VDC Remote Relay Switch with 4 Outputs, Key Fob

This remote has 2 momentary and 2 locking outputs. You could probably search for a Keyless fob with 4 momentary outputs similar to this.

Locking output means push button for "On" ...push button again for "Off"...(could be used for TM power "On-Off")..

Momentary means hold button for "On"....release button for "Off"...

So 1 of the momentary outputs could drive a gear reduction motor....turning a drive shaft....that would force the TM foot pedal 1 direction and stop the travel when the momentary button was released...

How would one get the TM foot pedal to go in the other direction...?? (a 2nd motor on the other end of the drive shaft...activated by the 2nd momentary output of the Logisys...??...)

Or is there a way to connect both momentary outputs to the same motor for bi-direction...??

Use 2 relays. Turn one on for one direction, turn the other on for opposite direction. Simple and cheap. Search for relay a direction control circuit, if you can't find one, I will draw one up for you. Two relays will generate regenerative feedback (electrical brake), thus immediately stopping the TM. I drew a similar circuit up for Jerry Blake a couple years back. I got VA today, so I will be out of socket.

As I understand it ,you would only need the momentary buttons and one would be wired positive to negative and the other would be wired negative to positive to reverse travel, you just have to make sure you did not hit both at same time unless button will not take but one switch at a time? If that will work may could use other 2 buttons with another little motor and control speed switch.I love trying things like this in winter too hot in summer with these Harmon shots that make me have long hot flash that is worst than a woman.May try this winter unless someone see a reason that I have over look that it will not work,so you thinking minds let me know something. My problem is I rarely ever troll with all the BP and docks we have on my lake,oh well still like to try it
