They must use a DI model transducer in order to read the lake bottom depth correctly as they work differently from our other units. He has stated that this happens regardless of whether the trolling motor is running or not so I really doubt that the filtered power cable and ferrite rings will help any. The best way to rule out any sort of interference is to make sure that the unit you are testing is the only electrical device that on at that time.
It will absolutely work, it's just that the DI functionality on the fish finder won't work. You should still be able to get the standard sonar reading. His issue is the depth reading jumping all over the place, not something with the DI.

In our DI model units the digital depth readout information comes from the DI elements of the transducer. Connecting one of the these DI model units to a US2 or even one of our Dual Beam transducers also runs the risk of causing internal electrical damage to our units – so we do not recommend doing this.

Well the people at MinnKota (your sister company) don't seem to agree. They show most of your units on their compatibility chart, albeit not the DI models, but verbally say the DI units will work, you will just lose the DI capability. If using the US2 transducer can cause actual issues, I would think Humminbird would be putting disclaimers all over the place, especially considering the amount of issues they appear to be having with their units.

I appreciate the feedback and will see if someone in our CRC department can follow up with them.
