The brown wire inside the power drive with US2 does ground the case to the TM battery negative. There is a issue (with US2) tying the negatives of the TM and Start together according to a post from Catfan from Minn Kota. We flagged this move last week if I recall correctly.

Yeah but CP step 2A tells you to do that they even give a minnkota part# for the wire with fuse
