Ipaq is so outdated that I can't buy batteries and I think it may be "shot" anyway. As you know, being able to see in the sunlight is important. I quit fishing Ky/Barkley when gas got so high but I would like to start again. I know that you had figured out how to use these maps with some Garmin unit a couple of years ago. Did you ever get that working well? Any ideas?
Tom
Yes. I can put any raster image map on a Garmin if it has a data card. I have a Garmin 276c with a 64 Meg data card that I put North/South Big Sandy Ky Hydrograpx Maps in the data memory. Works fine.
I can scan any image map, then calibrate the map, then vectorized the map, then upload to the Garmin in image format.
