Default Gots a querstion on DI

I know you have to be moving for the SI to work but what about the DI? If I had it mounted up front while I'm easing around spider rigging, at times I'm stationary, would the DI work while sitting still or do I have to be moving. It would be to easy to add another GPS puck and make a drop mount for another Transducer, then just move it to the front so I can use it there. Say have a split screen with the DI and regular FF view. I'd also have my way points I collected ready to go

I'm pretty sure Jason Halfen has a pic of a fish that he took a snapshot of while he was stationary using the SI.....

Being as the DI uses the same sonar as the SI...Then I think it may be possible..under the right conditions....

Maybe Jason will chime in and give us some feedback.....

Default I've got my 997 now

and the upgrade but I have a Lowrance 520 C up front so when I mark something with my HBird, I have to write down a way point and then input it into the Lowrance. Just a pain in the rear for one and I love the views on the Hbird

I have the same problem with Lowrance 522C in front. I leave it on and go to front and mark waypoint on it. It will be close.
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

    Default Gets old for sure

IF this would work, I can get another transducer, GPS puck and RAM mount for about 350, then sell my 520 for a little over 400, that would include the gps puck. I'd be a little over even and much happier

Attn all electonics board users: We the good people of the MS Board Village are missing an idjit. About 6'1" 230 pounds but claims to be 210, come hither goatee, claims to be a crappie fisherman, has the karate chop GI Joe action figure option, doesn't know dip about electronics, boat rigging, fishing, dancing, pic posting, jigs, cranks, minners, hooks or line. If you see him, he's unarmed and harmless. Please send him home. He didn't clean up his room and he's in trouble with his wife.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Here's some recent low speed SI and DI work. You have to be on the move...but even just creeping will provide a decent image at a chart speed of 1.

Sometimes you can see fish with SI while stationary, but I haven't tried it with DI yet...
