Headed to Greeson on Saturday to do a combination of crappie & bass fishing. Any pointers on depth or area of the lake to target? Thanks!

Here's a link to my "Trip Reports" page - TRIP REPORTS. The crappie are bunching up real well on the brushpiles up the creek arms. The bass are starting to get on the rocky points and there are a few breaking but not in big schools yet where we've been.

We tried the stripers this morning for about an hour and a half without a bite but found some decent spotted bass and a channel cat on rocky points by working crawfish off the bottom. This afternoon we crappie fished and kept 18 or so up to 16.5-inches and a striper.

If we don't get a lot more rain or a big warm up it should keep getting better and better right up to Fall Crappie Camp.

All we caught Saturday was 5 kentucky's. Wound up not spending too much time trying for crappie (using minnows, but at the wrong depth). Now that that i'm back in SW AR i'm sure I'll be spending plenty of time on Lake Degray and Greeson. Hopefully i'll get them figured out.

BTW.....bass were caught using Gold shiner spinnerbaits fished on top of submerged bushes/timber. Mainly in the Bear creek area. Didn't have any luck with plastic worms.
