The oil made it down a small ditch to a creek that feeds the wetland above the tributary that enters Lake Conway south of Highway 89. OEM and other crews has set up oil booms and check dams beneath the access road in the wetland. So far this has contained the oil to the the edge of the wetland. In addtion to this, the colverts that run under highway 89 to Lake Conway have been plugged up. Crews will continue to monitor the situation for the foreseable future. As of now no oil has made it into Lake Conway. I will be up early in the morning monitoring the situation. So I will not be available for further coments tonight.
