Lends a whole new meaning to the words "black crappie!"Surely someone will have enough sense to plug the leak, plug the lake, or contain the slick to keep it from getting to the main lake!!

Hmmm, "crude" crappie!!
Surely there is a valve close by to shut that off!

That sucks. Hope they get er contained and the leak stopped so it don't end up like our spill back in 2010 that screwed up miles of the Kalamazoo river system even still.
840000 gallons of oil leak into creek | WOOD TV8

Life has many choices, eternity has two...choose wisely.
Unapplied biblical truth is like unapplied paint...how many gallons do you have sittin' around? U.D.
No wonder folks have been getting skunked the last couple days the fish are full of oil! Hope they get it contained.
Just got back from the Lake Conway. I figured that there was some chatter on here about the oil leak. What I know is that a pipe line about 2.5 miles up stream of Lake Conway ruptured some time late this afternoon. The oil made it down a small ditch to a creek that feeds the wetland above the tributary that enters Lake Conway south of Highway 89. OEM and other crews has set up oil booms and check dams beneath the access road in the wetland. So far this has contained the oil to the the edge of the wetland. In addtion to this, the colverts that run under highway 89 to Lake Conway have been plugged up. Crews will continue to monitor the situation for the foreseable future. As of now no oil has made it into Lake Conway. I will be up early in the morning monitoring the situation. So I will not be available for further coments tonight.
That's sounds like a man all over the situation right there. Thanks for posting what you know it isn't required but much appreciated.
Yessir, thanks for the info and harf work.
