CS im going to test every 8 lb mono/FC (will call this the control test line) i can get new off the spool, Of course this will vary if you go up in line weight or down but the results should be about the same on a greater or lesser scale for each brand of line. Ill let you know what poundage they break at in the 8lb class only... but one can expect that results should be similar up and down the line weight classes, It will be fun to see what is the strongest 8lb test on the market. Keep in mind this test is a strength test only, and will not accurately show how well a line frays or not fray... but im willing to bet the stronger lines will not fray as easily as the weaker ones as a whole.

In response to all the knot talk, every know will probably have varying breaking strength cause even though you tie the same knot every one of them will have different breaking strength. Now as for the Cajun red line it's some tough stuff. I use braid on some bass rods cause the feel is better but it frays easy on limbs/rocks. Power pro braid is what I use though for bass on c-rig and finesse rod
