To us new crappie fisherman it is something to shoot for a goal(a limit). We use to just catch a few by accident was mostly just a lurker on this site (crappie.com).Now I am tying my own jigs making my own baits and because of the great Crappie fishermen on this site we have learned a lot and where a limit was once out of the question now we can see it is reachable something to shoot for and still enjoy being out on the water not bragging but setting a goal to reach for.When I first started fishing you caught a limit,culled to a bigger limit of bass now it is catch and release(looked down own if you keep bass).Crappie fishing you go with your buddy each are learning from each other each trip catch a few fish keep a few to eat.The price of gas,tackle,equipment you need to be able to take something home at the end of the day.Not just the experence of fishing but the enjoyable right to fish.We live in a great state(arkansas) and country (USA) blessed to have the lake and streams to fish. One by one these rights are being taken away.Like some other countrys those rights have been taken away.It will not be long we will not be able to keep fish at all then what.
