I try to take folks fishing and make sure they are catching or atleast have the oppertunity. Kids need to be assurred of catching fish or most lose interest. I don't keep it a secret we catch lots of fish here. We have numbers as high as anywhere but our quality could be better. I may not give details but enough info for others the oppertunity to try. If you don't show what's here then you can't draw folks. Andrews Bait and More needs business , I'm try'n to draw folks to the Lake by showing it's possiable to catch fish most any day on Nimrod. I've fished this lake for over 40 years and through ups and downs, right now the size and number of Crappie are on the way up. If you stop in at the bait store tell Jerry that NIMROD sent ya.

This thread was about the IMPORTANCE of catching a limit. For me, it isn't about the limit at all. I like catching a limit as much as anyone, and if I had more time to spend, I'd like to catch a limit more often, but for me, like I'm sure it is for most of you, its about the enjoyment the fishing gives me. It's my therapy, and piece of mind from a hectic work week!!! For those of you lucky enough to go a lot, or you retired geezers, GOD Bless you if you catch a limit 500 times in a row, I'm NOT against that if it's the law!! To post it EVERY day is bragging tho, and as much as I love reading about a great fishing trip, the how, when and where is nice stuff, but has NOTHING to do with a LIMIT!!!. Catching a limit all the time isn't teaching people to fish. I'm not against catching a limit all the time, all I'm saying is that it isn't that IMPORTANT compared to the experience, like the the thread originally ask!!!

BTW, I DO like to brag on occasion, hell, I fish don't I? LMBO

i think a limit is more important to some of us than others but to me its not about how many or the size. me and lily lacked 2 fish the other day to have a limit, she told me she was ready to go so we put the poles up and left. not a big deal, it was awesome just being there with my daughter. and yes i do like to spider-rig and you can call me a MEAT HOGG! but a limit is a limit, NO MORE NO LESS!!! i give 90 percent of my fillets away and very proud to be able to. if joe wants to yo yo thats fine, they're out there just like you tryin to spend time with family and friends to not only catch a limit but to have awesome memories to look back on. these folks that cant stand trollers and yo yo's sound to me like they have an inner problem with themselves! and may need a check up. i like for everyone to catch fish and limits, i mean heck thats why we fish.

Hey - If I could only post limits you would never get to see all my pics. I care very little about limits only staying in them. A limit is the only thing other than my wife that tells you to go home.

Not quite Billy , I've done both years ago. Yoyos are abused too much on Nimrod Lake to suit me.

Well,,I think,,,,if this weather don't break soon where we can get away from these computers, we're all going to end up in a fist fight...lol And since I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for fist fights, I'm loading ammo...lol

I like to fish with one pole,,and if you don't,,then your WRONG.....

I better order more bullets and primers now....

Just bring your gun and jig pole over old buddy. If we can't catch any Crappie we can use unattended yoyos for target practice.Rofl
