Slab bandits are from crazyanglertackle.com I recommend ballhead 1/16 #4 sicklehead jigs with NO collar. He sells them too at a reasonable price of $7.50 a hundred and the slab bandits are $2.50 for a pkg of 20. I have started putting a drop of crazy glue on the hook shaft then slide the bait on. That way you don't have to reset the bait everytime you jerk. The sickle head gives you a little wider gap and they are really hard to straighten out. Sometimes I powder paint the heads but I don't think it helps any. Also, I think you get more hookups if you take some pliers and put a 10 to 15 % twist in the hook point.
