Sounds like you did good, got any pics? I'm going to hit Caney tomorrow after work and fish till dark. Hopefully they will still be biting that late. Good job.

Went to Caney creek yesterday after reading CP's post and ended up with 12 nice ones. Started in the pads and caught 3 right at daylight and then the switch was turned off. Flipped over to a jig and bobber and picked up 5 more in about 30 min. After that it slowed way down and I fished the jig and bobber really slow to catch the last few. Had to leave at 3:00 but pretty sure I could have gotten a limit if I would have stayed til dark. Bite is definently early. Thanks for all the advice you post CP.

A man is truly blessed, when he returns home from fishing to be greeted by the best catch of his life.
Forgot to take pics. When you get there try fishing around the 2 cypress trees that are across from each other right down from the ramp. There were some guys camped out on the one on the ramp side that did pretty well from just that one spot. Not the tree itself but the stumps timber around the trees. Good luck.
Thanks for the tip LC, I'll definitely hit that spot.
