Most of the time if you go back the way you came when you get on the backside of your hang up it will come free.....if not use a lure knocker or retriever. Mine is a small lead weight with 3 small chains on it and some heavy cord. It will attach and slide down your line to your bait then jiggle it and try to get the chains to catch the hooks then yank it free with with the cord. Man! What are the odds of that happening twice? Thanks for the reply. I laughed at my brother a few weeks ago when he bragged about carrying a spark plug to get snagged lures because those store bought ones were a "gimmick". Not ten minutes later he lost his lure AND his spark plug.
