We caught 2 fish long lining, and another 6 fishing boat docks. The fish we caught were BIG females. Biggest fish was 16". NONE of the fish really hit the lures. The bite was very slight, and you couldn't catch more than one fish from a spot unless you let it sit then came back in about 10 minutes. Color didn't seem to make any difference, but we stick to "natural" colors for the most part.
Give it a couple weeks and it will probably be on fire for the next month or so.
On another note, compared to last year, there are 4x as many boats on the water (bass fisherman mostly), especially during the week. Last year, we fished on week days and had any ramp we went to, to ourselves. This year, every day we go it looks like a weekend. Today, we were literally in/around about 25 other boats the whole day, and they don't mind pulling right in front of you and cutting you off, or blasting right through where you're trolling with the big motor wide open. It's disgusting to watch some of these ahole wannabes who are Bass Master champions in their own minds.
